Unfortunately no, we don't offer PAYG to complete Beginners and here is the reason why:
We want beginners to come into the studio and have the best possible experience, have the best quality class and get great value.
As a beginner... many students that enquire express they are nervous; worried about what you will look like - anxious and focus on fears that it ill be hard, fears that you're too old, fears you have no co-ordination, fears you're not strong enough or fears just in general as we've just had the toughest period.
Let me tell you.... 80% of our enquiries say this. And we want to reassure you that on a beginners course, you will only get complete beginners who are in the exact same position. Coming together without any experience, wanting to build strength, have fun and get fit as an additional benefit.
Due to this we can not take beginners as tasters or sporadically because we care about how this effects the quality of the classes for everybody, beginners and the regulars.
If you can imagine walking into a studio as a beginner it is scary enough! - Studios that do allow a taster or drop in might seem ideal, but you would be put into a room where the majority of the class would have done pole before, some would have been doing pole for over a year. This is not what you want as a beginner.
The problem this. creates is that the beginner will need a lot of the attention to learn how to hold, how to move, how to spin and everything for the first time! - it takes the instructors attention away from the main group, and when the instructor is needing to teach other levels at the same time, the quality of your lesson is also compromised. The instructors time will be stretched and won't be able to make corrections dedicated to what you're learning as often as you would get in a focused beginners course. Ultimately you wont have the best experience. This is something we used to offer until we switched to courses back in 2019 and we have no regrets!
To create the best experience and to ensure you get the most out of our classes, beginners would need to sign up and commit to 8 weeks to start pole.
We have found this has worked so well that 70% of students continue after a beginners course.
No. Payments for the whole course will be needed to secure your space.
It's always best to try block out the course so that you can make each class. This will help you see better progress and you know you won't miss anything essential.
It is possible to miss you first class as we do re-cap over first class lessons on your second lessons but doing the entire course is always going to be better.
We also do not reduce prices if you can not make a class. You pay for the course and it is your responsibility to make the course.
Unfortunately you will not be able to drag classes over past the course end date because the Beginner 2 will start. You will be given an option to attend a different course within the course duration. You may need to do 2 within 1 week otherwise you will forefit your class.
We do not do refunds on the classes that you can not make and can not put you on a different course if you've only done half of the course.
You will be given an option to attend a different course IF YOU LET US KNOW AND ASK YOUR INSTRUCTOR WHICH OTHER TIME IS SUITABLE.
This must be done within the course duration. You may need to do 2 within 1 week otherwise you will forefit your class.
We do not do refunds on the classes that you can not make and can not put you on a different course if you've only done half of the course.
Please keep on going if you do miss 1 out of a course because you have paid for the 8 weeks. There are more than 1 instructors in a room to help everyone so you won't get behind even if you do miss 1 or 2 classes. Our team is here to help you.
COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY
All Courses are non-refundable or transferrable once started. If you do not want to stay on the course we will not refund you for any unused parts of a course. You can stay on our forfeit your course.
We have a 168hr cancellation policy for all courses, if you cancel within 168hrs of your course start time, no refund is due
Where you have taken advantage of the two-part pay option, you must pay your final balance, via the Groovio app, a minimum of 48 hours before the class starts time, failure to do so. will result in your place on the course automatically being cancelled.
You pay for the space for the duration of the course which stops anybody else from booking the space. Booking a course you are committing to the duration at your own risk.
All bookings are considered final, and are only applicable for the exact dates of the product purchased.
My Body Rocks and Pole Rocks do not provide any refunds/credit/replacement/deferring of class for any missed sessions or cancellations; the applicable exception is for exceptional circumstances. To meet the criteria of a medical cancellation, proof in the form of a doctor’s note (confirming that the student is not permitted to participate) must be provided
If a class within a course is cancelled, we will offer you a make-up class or credit that can be used across any of our studios, we can not always guarantee your make-up class will be in the same studio. if you're unable to travel to another studio we'll issue you a class credit, which will be valid for one year.
We want you to be comfortable! Beginners do not need to wear shorts on your firt lessons but by lesson 5 we do advise shorts due to you being able to use your leg grip for conditioing and moves as part of your lesson.
The instructors can do adaptions but progress is easier with leg grip after the course is finished.
There are grip leggings that you can buy from places plike PoleJunkie.com if you feel you would rather keep on leggings.
It is essential you do not moisturise on the day as this will make you slippery.
Please remove rings and watches as these cause substancial damage to the poles as well as your jewewlery.
Bring Water with you and a Hand Towel.
We allow up to 2 people on a Pole or Hoop in a fully booked class.
We find this is perfect as students will get tired and muscle fatigue so it give you breaks in between using.
It is also much more social and you find it easier to learn when having a break to watch more breakdowns.
We have wipes in the studio, Hand sanatisers on each poles and spray bottles to ensure you can wipe in between each use.
We also are able to keep a safe distance away from others as a virus prevention method.
If you do not feel safe in public spaces yet I would not book this course.
Instead a private lesson would be perfect for you which starts from £40 for the hour.
Please arrive to your first class EARLY. We sometimes take longer to find the studios on our first lessons so plan and prepare to be there early to not disrupt the class.
If you are late we may not be able to let you in because it will disrupt the class and instructor away from everyone else. You will need to fo a warm up before taking part in a class due to health and safety and if the instructor can not do this because you are late, you will not be able to take part.
Allow for traffic and leave early to avoid this.
